Are you on the voters’ list? Check your information before the Municipal Election

BRACEBRIDGE, ON (September 1, 2026) – With the 2026 Municipal Election just weeks away, eligible electors are encouraged to check the voters’ list to make sure they are registered and their information is correct. The voters’ list revision period has now begun, and checking your information in advance can help ensure you are ready to vote in October.

Check your information
Eligible electors can use the Online Voter Registration Portal at bracebridgevotes.ca to confirm that they are on the voters’ list and that their information is accurate. You should check the list even if you have voted in a previous election.

What if I’m not on the list?
If you are an eligible elector and your name does not appear on the voters’ list, or your information is incorrect, you can request to have the list amended. You can register online at bracebridgevotes.ca or contact the Town of Bracebridge Elections Team at vote@bracebridge.ca or 705-645-5264 for assistance. You will be required to provide identification showing your qualifying address to confirm your eligibility.

Who can vote?
You are eligible to vote in the Town of Bracebridge municipal election if, on Voting Day, you are:

• A Canadian citizen;
• At least 18 years old;
• A resident of Bracebridge, or are the owner or tenant of land in Bracebridge, or the spouse of an owner or tenant; and
• Not prohibited from voting under the Municipal Elections Act or otherwise ineligible to vote.

Make sure you’re ready to vote
There are several things you can do now to prepare for the municipal election:

• Check the voters’ list. Confirm that you are registered and that your information is correct.
• Know your ward. Use the Find Your Ward tool to determine which ward you live in.
• Learn about the candidates. Review information about the candidates running for the offices on your ballot.
• Learn about your voting options. Voting can be done online or by phone and will take place from October 14 to 26.
• Make a plan to vote. Spread the word and cast your vote in October.
