Non-resident electors encouraged to prepare now for the municipal election
BRACEBRIDGE, ON (July 17, 2026) – Seasonal property owners and other non-resident electors are encouraged to take a few simple steps now to ensure they are ready to vote in the 2026 Municipal and School Board Election.
What is a non-resident elector?
A non-resident elector is someone who owns or rents property in Bracebridge but has their permanent residence elsewhere. The spouse of a qualifying non-resident property owner or tenant may also be eligible to vote.
Non-resident electors are encouraged to complete the following steps to ensure they are prepared to vote in the municipal election in October.
- Register or update your voter information by August 12 by visiting bracebridgevotes.ca;
- Confirm information on the Voters' List beginning September 1 using the Online Voter Lookup Tool;
- Learn about the candidates as nomination information becomes available; and
- Cast your ballot between October 14 and October 26. Eligible electors can vote online or by telephone from anywhere.
Non-resident electors are encouraged to make a plan to vote and to share this information with family members, neighbours and friends who own seasonal property in Bracebridge. All registered voters will receive their Voter Information Letter in early October which will include instructions on how to vote.
