Non-resident electors encouraged to prepare now for the municipal election
BRACEBRIDGE, ON (July 17, 2026) – Seasonal property owners and other non-resident electors are encouraged to take a few simple steps now to ensure they are ready to vote in the 2026 Municipal and School Board Election.
What is a non-resident elector?
A non-resident elector is someone who owns or rents property in Bracebridge but has their permanent residence elsewhere. The spouse of a qualifying non-resident property owner or tenant may also be eligible to vote.
Non-resident electors are encouraged to complete the following steps to ensure they are prepared to vote in the municipal election in October.
- Register or update your voter information by August 12 by visiting bracebridgevotes.ca;
- Confirm information on the Voters' List beginning September 1 using the Online Voter Lookup Tool;
- Learn about the candidates as nomination information becomes available; and
- Cast your ballot between October 14 and October 26. Eligible electors can vote online or by telephone from anywhere.
